Make The Best Out of Your Day

This morning I woke up at 5:30 to play basketball at a church at 6, and when I arrived there were chairs set up on the gym floor and no body was there. My son has had football these past couple months so I wasn't able to play on Saturday mornings. I decided to make the best out of the situation and just go down to mission beach and get a good jog in. Now I'm done with my jog and I'm sitting on the beach over looking the beautiful waves listening to the wind blow feeling the cool breeze hit my face writing this. As I'm sitting here, I'm thinking to myself why not make the best out of this situation and write my second article. I've been studying personal development for the past 8 years and I'm learning something new everyday that helps me better myself. As I go through my stages of personal development I'm realizing that everything that I've learned I will know for the rest of my life and that is exciting!!! It's exactly like riding a bike I'll never forget how to make the best out of a situation. I've been through some tough times in my life and I feel like with the knowledge that I have learned over the past 8 years I would have just given up and settled. The key to making personal development work is become a student of personal development. No matter how much money you have, how successful you are in your career, or how far you've come from where you were, you always can improve your situation. Everyone should have a mentor or someone who they can go to to get an outsiders perspective on a situation. I'm not talking about a counselor, I'm talking about a life coach. Someone who's been there before, someone with credibility and integrity. Everybody has so much more potential than what they are using. And you can't see things within yourself that others can because your obviously bias when it comes to yourself. Everyone carries this trait and it's called pride. I am so grateful to have some really good mentors and without them I would have never been able to get through some of those tough times. The thing that's different between a successful person and an unsuccessful person is, is that a successful person makes the best out of a situation and an unsuccessful person lets the situation get the best of him. People make excuses all of the time; I don't have a degree, I can't sell, I don't have time blah blah blah. Find an excuse to succeed in something, don't find an excuse not to. Im going to enjoy myself here, looking over the beautiful ocean water for about 5 more minutes, because I feel like I've earned it.

I hope that you all make the best of your day today. Thanks for reading.
