Make The Best Out of Your Day

This morning I woke up at 5:30 to play basketball at a church at 6, and when I arrived there were chairs set up on the gym floor and no body was there. My son has had football these past couple months so I wasn't able to play on Saturday mornings. I decided to make the best out of the situation and just go down to mission beach and get a good jog in. Now I'm done with my jog and I'm sitting on the beach over looking the beautiful waves listening to the wind blow feeling the cool breeze hit my face writing this. As I'm sitting here, I'm thinking to myself why not make the best out of this situation and write my second article. I've been studying personal development for the past 8 years and I'm learning something new everyday that helps me better myself. As I go through my stages of personal development I'm realizing that everything that I've learned I will know for the rest of my life and that is exciting!!! It's exactly like riding a bike I'll never forget how to make the best out of a situation. I've been through some tough times in my life and I feel like with the knowledge that I have learned over the past 8 years I would have just given up and settled. The key to making personal development work is become a student of personal development. No matter how much money you have, how successful you are in your career, or how far you've come from where you were, you always can improve your situation. Everyone should have a mentor or someone who they can go to to get an outsiders perspective on a situation. I'm not talking about a counselor, I'm talking about a life coach. Someone who's been there before, someone with credibility and integrity. Everybody has so much more potential than what they are using. And you can't see things within yourself that others can because your obviously bias when it comes to yourself. Everyone carries this trait and it's called pride. I am so grateful to have some really good mentors and without them I would have never been able to get through some of those tough times. The thing that's different between a successful person and an unsuccessful person is, is that a successful person makes the best out of a situation and an unsuccessful person lets the situation get the best of him. People make excuses all of the time; I don't have a degree, I can't sell, I don't have time blah blah blah. Find an excuse to succeed in something, don't find an excuse not to. Im going to enjoy myself here, looking over the beautiful ocean water for about 5 more minutes, because I feel like I've earned it.

I hope that you all make the best of your day today. Thanks for reading.

  • People don't know what they don't know. We don't know our full potential, how do we grow if we stay comfortable all of our lives. As a child we were told to go to school get a job and retire with a reputable company. I have yet to see anyone from my family or any of my friends accomplish this. According to Forbes the average amount of jobs people have in their lives are between 15-20. That's insane why is it so high? Its high because that system doesn't work. We have to think of ourselves as a company and the jobs that we have are just our clients. Your 9 to 5 is your biggest client. How do you grow your company? You establish more income streams. There are so many things that are out there that you can do to make extra money, and with the ease of having the world at your fingertip the opportunities are limitless. If the mind can conceive it the mind can achieve it. The only thing that is holding you back are the excuses that you are making. When you get off of work what do you do. Most people just get in their car listen to music that is irrelevant to their lives. Once they get home they and spend 3 hours in front of a TV that's not helping them reach their goals. People wonder why their lives are the way they are and I ask them what they do in their free time and most people can’t even tell me. Things like Facebook and Instagram are taking over people’s lives and it’s kind of sad. I can barely have a conversation with someone without them looking at their cell phones at least once. So first thing first get off of your phones. Second create a list of goals and write down 7 action steps that will help you achieve those goals. Make sure that you are using the SMART goal setting system making sure that your goal is specific measurable attainable relevant and most importantly time bound. Next write down 12 reasons why you will succeed. Then make your affirmations, which means putting your goals into present tense. The key to making these affirmations work is looking in the mirror directly into you own eyes, you can't lie to yourself and say them twice a day. In order to do something you've never done you have to become the person you've never been. So the biggest part is discipline. If you can discipline yourself to do this every day you'll land right on the head of success.
Stay Positive and live your life to your full potential!!!!
